I wrote an essay at school about the iPad yesterday. Mostly I just criticized Steve Jobs for his black turtlenecks and excessive use of the prefix "i". It seems you took more of an approach to the iPad's effects on journalism. All in all, would you agree with me that it all seems a bit frivolous? I don't like that consumers need to be constantly placated by entertaining and technologically superior gadgets. I guess I can't speak for everyone, but honestly, I don't see the appeal of reading books on a computer, or multitasking between music, photos, and whatever else the iPad offers. Maybe I'm just biased because of my distaste for touchscreens. Too smeary.
i feel the same, the worst thing is, it doesn't multitask. so does that mean i'm gonna have to have an ipod to listen to music while i read a book on the ipad?
