My Netflix que has ballooned to over 468 titles over the past 2.5 years.
There are more than several embarrassing cultural blind-spots buried under piles of unessential picks and impulse clicks that need help rising to the top for immediate viewing.
I'm only copy/pasting the first 100, because when I tried to copy/paste the full que, Firefox froze under the weight of all the text formatting.
Tell me what movies need to go to the top immediately. This is a Def-con 4 situation.

I'll only recommend the movies I've seen and liked on this list, even though there are some that I've been told are fantastic (ie Hurt Locker)
Freaks and Geeks is one of the greatest shows of all time and I have a gut feeling that you would appreciate, nay, love it too! There's too many reasons to list why it's so great, you just have to see it yourself.
Sideways for sure. I remember all the fuss when Sideways was snubbed at the Oscars several years back but I couldn't commiserate at the time. But I saw it a couple years ago, and it's totally worth it, the acting and writing are brilliant, and it's got this sentimental feel to it that I can't quite articulate.
Although I haven't seen it, I think as a fellow Coen Brothers fan, you'd agree with me that A Serious Man should be somewhere in the front of your list.
Stranger Than Fiction- don't trust anyone who says Will Ferrell can't play a serious role. He can. Very well.
Take the Money and Run is very hokey and funny, it's not long, it's early Woody Allen, you really can't go wrong there.
You haven't seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest? Come on.
The Third Man, excellent story, even better theme song- they used a zither to make this really cool sound.
Volver, from what I saw before the DVD skipped, was really cool...for a foreign film, pshaw.
I didn't exactly give you a short list here, but you know, it's less than one hundred, so mission accomplished I guess.

I hated (500) days of summer, it seemed like it was holding on to the coat-tails of Amelie in some instances ("cute" random thoughts, counting minutes).
Good/bad/ugly is one of my favorite films...kids want to know what the word epic really means? Good/bad/ugly! The visuals are fantastic (especially the closeups), Ennio Morricone has the best music for film, i could further rant.
Inland Empire is a the biggest Lynch mess..but you may enjoy being lost in the journey of sorting through the mess.
Akira Kurosawa should be seen by all...(Seven Samurai/Rashomon/Sanjuro/Yojimbo/Hidden Fortress)
Revanche was a very good film.
White Ribbon was true to its creator and very good.
I hope you have seen the Seventh Seal if not you must.
Oldboy is another must.

yeah I've seen "Oldboy" several times, so good. Have you seen the rest of Chan-wook Park's revenge trilogy? "Lady Vengeance" is also excellent.
i still have not seen "The Seventh Seal."
Re: "500 Days of Summer," that's the feeling i got from the trailers, and the reason I've been putting it off. "Amelie" has its merits, but I prefer his first film "Delicatessen": all of the inventive Rube Goldberg devises and random, creative whimsy but without the nearly suffocating "cuteness."
